karyotype
modal number = 120; range = 95 to 133. This is a hyperpentaploid human cell line with the modal chromosome number of 120, occurring in 9% of cells. The majority of cells had chromosome counts of 114-123. Among 14 marker chromosomes that were common to most cells, generally 9q+ had four copies per cell, t(1q8q) and del(5) (q34) had three copies per cell, and 14q+ had two copies per cell. Numerous others were also found in single copies, all infrequently. Three normal X chromosomes were found in most cells, N9 was absent, and N7 and N20 had seven to eight copies per cell.
